ASTM A572 Specification refers to High-Strength Low-Alloy Steel Plate for structural building, among the 5 steel grades of 42, 50, 55, 60 and 65, Grade 50 is one most common steel in applications where need more strength and less weight, use steel plate of this grade other than ordinary carbon steel will make the steel structure with same steel strength but lighter weight.
The ASTM A572 specification is the Standard Specification for High-Strength Low-Alloy Columbium-Vanadium Structural Steel for plates used in general construction and structural applications. ASTM A572 includes five grades with specified minimum yield strengths of 42, 50, 55, 60, and 65 ksi, respectively.
Gangsteel is specialized in supplying ASTM steel plate in A572 Grade 60. For more information of A572 Grade 60 steel plates, please check them in followingChemical composition % of the Product analysis of grade A572 Grade60 .
Jul 30, 2011 · Welding A 572 to itself and to A 36 carbon steel with the thickness stated above- minimum preheat 70 deg F, using SFA 5.5, E7018 H4 weld rod (SMAW process). The specified minimum YS for this rod is 60 Ksi. Keep the interpass temperature below 600 deg F. Now for the A 572 Grade 60 to the duplex, you need to use SFA 5.4 E309MoL weld rod.
A572 steel is available in five different grades42, 50, 55, 60, and 65. Each grade number indicates the yield strength of this high strength, low alloy steel. Its multiple favorable properties make it a staple for construction applications. Strength, Weldability, and Machinability
Carbon A572 (ASTM A572) is a low alloy, high strength steel, popular for its strength. With a better strength to weight ratio, A572 steel is a natural step up from A36 when more strength is needed. The increased strength of A572 plate does not compromise the steels ductility and weldability. A572 plate can therefore be formed, welded, and machined.
ASTM A572 Gr42 steel plate Equivalent material steel plate
ASTM A572 Gr42 steel plate also named High Tensile Low alloy Ni-V steel. The delivery station usually are hot rolled, control rolled,or nomalized. ASTM A572 Gr42 steel plate has the proper tensile strength, good toughness, plasticity, processing property,be rolled into steel plates, shaped steel and profile steel.which usually used to build workshop, bridge, vessel and so on.
ASTM A572 Plate High Strength Low Alloy Steel Alro Steel
ASTM A572 is a high strength, low alloy steel plate. It offers an optimum combination of strength, weldability and notch toughness. Applications includebridges, buildings, automotive and truck parts, railroad cars, cargo containers, tote boxes, construction equipment, structural tubing, lighting standards and transmission poles.
Dec 18, 2018 · A 572 Gr.60 steel plate is high strength and low alloy columbium-vanadium structural steel. A 572 Gr.60 steel plate are intended for riveted or bolted construction of bridges or for riveted , bolted, or welded construction in other applications. Comparing with A572 Gr.50, A 572 Gr.60 steel has a more yield and tensile strength in project.
Jun 28, 2010 · A572 is a structural steel, not a high-temperature steel. It isn't specified for high temperature work. If the maximum section of the parts is small enough (2-3"), it should be able to achieve grade 60 with a final heat treat. Then, sourcing the material is not a problem, just start with grade 42.
A572 steel is available in five different grades42, 50, 55, 60, and 65. Each grade number indicates the yield strength of this high strength, low alloy steel. Its multiple favorable properties make it a staple for construction applications.
A572 Gr.60 is a high strength low alloy steel plate used in a variety of structural applications. A572 is produced in Grades 42, 50, 60 & 65—the grades representing the yield strength. The most common grade Chapel stocks is Grade 50 which is produced up to 4” thick.
