A572 is a high strength low alloy steel plate used in a variety of structural applications. It is produced in Grades 42, 50, 60 & 65 —the grades representing the yield strength. The most common grade triton stocks is Grade 50 which is produced up to 4” thick. Anything over 4” is made to a Grade 42,
A572 Plate. Universal Steel stocks A572-50 from 3/16” thick up to 4” thick, and A572-42 above 4” thick up to 6” thick. A572 is used in structural applications where strength and notch toughness are more critical than the general A36 requirements. Standard stock is provided in the as-rolled condition; however, normalized material can be obtained.
Available in five grades42, 50, 55, 60 and 65. Available in standard and heavy (3-inches or greater) plate thickness. May be certified to multiple standards on Mill Test Report, but guaranteed to be certified to meet ASTM A572 standards.
ASTM A572 Carbon Steel Plate ASTM A572 Specification refers to High-Strength Low-Alloy Steel Plate for structural building, among the 5 steel grades of 42, 50, 55, 60 and 65, Grade 50 is one most common steel in applications where need more strength and less weight, use steel plate of this grade other than ordinary carbon steel will make the steel structure with same steel strength but lighter weight.

Hot rolled plates made to ASTM-A36 are intended for use in structural applications. Plates 1/2” and under are normally sheared, while heavier plates are flame cut. Flame cutting is necessary when plate thickness exceeds mill shearing limits. High Tensile Plates ASTM A572 Grade 50. High Tensile Plates are low alloy steel, which produce high

Hot rolled ASTM-A529 bars are produced in both Grade 50 & Grade 35. This is a carbon-manganese material designed for structural purposes such as riveted, bolted, and welded construction. ASTM-A572 Grade 50 . High Tensile bars are rolled by various steel mills. They are a high strength low alloy material, intended primarily for weight reduction
Jan 31, 2005 · We typically use A572 grade 50 and sometimes use "A36 modified" or A36 material that has a 50 KSI min yield or greater. One of my steel vendors has offered some Cold Rolled 1018 in 1/4" and 3/16" thickness (min yield of 56 KSI) to use for the web plates on these beams.
